I am persuaded that there are no modifiers to Islam. Radical Islam is redundant. Islam started with thievery, murder and slavery. It advanced to assassinations and conquests. Churchill and T. E. Lawrence both understood that it is not a religion at all.
We are going to have to face the fact that democracy and Islam are not in any compatible. We are going to have to eliminate Islam to have peace.
This last July I returned to the subject
The Religion Of Peace and Taqiyya
It’s been a year since I posted Islam is Islam. I said then there is no need to add modifiers such as Radical to the word Islam. Here is my thinking a year later.
Those living in peace have the time to form bonds of love. There has never been peace in Islam, so they don’t know how to love. But hate! Oh God can they hate. They have a deep, deep resentment of anything that might jolt them from their delusions of grandeur and show them for what they are – a decadent savage people controlled by a religion that denies them of all human ambitions. Except for the few of them cruel enough to command them as one commands a mob of sheep.
The Koran has many things besides punishment and rewards. It gives instruction about fornication, adultery, alms, murder, corruption, insults, divorce, persecution, wet-nursing, backbiting, gambling, infanticide, heathenism, inheritance, how to sleep, menstruation, intercourse, orphans, eating in others houses, prayer times, ownership of horses, sucking, prohibition of alcohol, retaliation, satans, treatment of slaves, thievery, usury, cunning, omens, diets, food laws, prayers of the evil, sexual abstinence, raising the dead, sexual dishonor, eunuchs, regulations for keeping concubines, evil spirits, why Mohammed must be believed, vanquishing the Greeks, veiling the face, cattle, idolatry, breaking bonds with kin, avarice, ritual washing, head shaving, rules for pilgrims, treatment of enemies and women refugees, lewdness, pregnant camels, rain, perversity, plots, and counterplots.
The Koran is a source for how those in a tribe should behave with one another and with other tribes. There is nothing in it like the golden rule. There are no prescriptions like the Ten Commandants. Islam was founded on murder, theft, rape and slavery. When Mohammad led a raid on a neighboring tribe and they came back with a lot of booty, he said it showed they were true believers and that Allah had blessed them for their faith. The Koran sanctions the use of violence. Islam is many things, but it not a religion that promotes a positive culture. What kind of perverse society, religion, culture is it that breeds volcanic hatred?
The Koran is laced with hate for Jews. Perhaps because Mohammed was not able to convince Jewish tribes to follow and support him. He attacked them, killed all the men and made slaves of the women and children. Islam is unable to live in peace with anyone, including other muslims. Blood feuds between tribes last for decades and longer. Violence is not confined to inter-tribe rivalries, it’s Shia against Sunni, it’s all Muslims against the infidels.
All those ‘…ite tribes you have heard about such as Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, etc. They are still around, some with different names but with legacies and hates going back over two millennia.
Mohammad declares that ”Allah is the most accomplished liar and deceiver.” From this Mohammad sanctions deception as a means to establish a world-wide caliphate. It’s called Taqiyya and it is the Muslims’ license to lie to infidels in order to camouflage Islam’s holy war strategy (jihad) to conquer the world. Deception is considered a good work and good works must be done consistently and repeatedly to earn salvation with the except of the greatest work of dying while fighting non-Muslims. I think understanding this is key to understanding that Islam will never be peaceful.
When Obama refuses to call terrorism by salifists what it is, he is lying. He is sympathetic to the Islamic State.
Of the trillions of dollars received in payment for oil, a western person might wonder why none of it has been used to invest in say manufacturing to provide jobs for when the oil finally runs out. It is because Islam creates a culture that does not promote doing anything for themselves? Any work is best done by servants and non-muslims. The Koran instructs that believers are here awaiting paradise. There is nothing they can do but endure and hate.
Why? The answer, in a word, is “liberty.” Something foreign to Islam. Liberated people are ingenious. Slaves, serfs, subordinated women, people frozen in a hierarchy of lords or bureaucrats are not.
Western thought is not encouraged. No western literature is translated into Arabic. It is a closed society. It’s difficult for a non-Muslim to get a visa to Saudi. They have contributed nothing to human betterment for centuries, unless you consider the assassin and the terrorist as human gifts.
If peace is not possible, what’s to be done with the infestation of Muslims we already have in the western world? Should we continue to allow any to enter the US even as tourists?
I am enroute to my place of employment at the time of this writing so I cannot give this piece the proper thrashing that it deserves. That will have to be later this evening at the earliest. Provided that I am not exhausted by dealing with customers who think like this.
But I will leave you with this tidbit. You have just described Christianity, right down to its core and did not realize it.
I love irony!
Good to know. Thanks for the warning. I will not bother to read it, but I am sure other readers will enjoy your bombastic remarks.
I think you have delusions of adequacy.
Actually I know that you are afraid to read it. History lessons tend to do that.
You write very confidently about all this. Where did you learn about Islam?
I teach religion and science to children. Both are an integral part of our curriculum. I have been teaching these subjects for ten years on a full-time basis. I have read huge amounts about the three major book-based religions of Christianity,Judaism Islam in order to teach my pupils confidently. Although I was raised a Christian, I found I actually knew very little about that faith or its history. I can confidently state that, when I began, I knew absolutely nothing about Judaism or Islam. I am no expert by any means and I cannot confidently state that everything you have written is false. However, I can confidently state that some of it is. The hatred of other religions, for example is absolutely incorrect. The Koran is very clear that followers of Christianity and Judaism were to be respected and accepted. I can also confidently state that there are rules in the bible and Torah concerning the taking of slaves and their treatment. Lovely stuff.
I really don't want to get into an argument over the correct interpretation of any religious text. Interpretation is the very stuff of religion. The reason that there are so many different Christian churches and Muslim and Jewish sects is precisely because the texts are not clear, any of them. What does it mean when the bible states that Jesus came to fulfill the law? Does the law still stand or is it no longer relevant? Christians could argue amongst themselves on that question for many centuries.
My point is that you write confidently that there is only one interpretation of the Koran and the Hadiths which all Muslims share. That has not been my experience at all. Hence why I question where you have learned about Islam. I do not question for one moment the sincerity of your concerns about Islam. I can recognise that they are very real. If I had come to understand Islam as you have I would probably share your concerns. My understanding is very different, however, and comes from extensive reading of a huge variety of texts, many written by Muslims, many written by non-Muslim observers. I have also observed my Muslim neighbours and my Muslim pupils, all of whom behave pretty much as my non-Muslim neighbours and pupils do. I do not share your understanding of Islam and what it involves and I do not share your concerns. I live in a country where the majority religion is Christianity, although atheism is a close second. We have experienced some terrorist activity in the last twenty years which is nominally related to Islam. In the thirty years before that we experienced a great deal more terrorist-related activity which was nominally related to Catholicism and Protestantism. I grew up in the days of the Baader-Meinhoff gang and lived in fear of that anarchical group of atheistic terrorists. My mother survived the second world war by virtue of a bureaucratic decision to only kill the children of Jewish mothers who were married to non-Jews and not the children of Jewish fathers who were married to non-Jews. All terrorists are awful. They don't treat other people the way they want to be treated themselves. Not all terrorists are religious, most religiously minded people are not terrorists.
I have re-read your text and can't help but wish that you could sit and watch a fabulous programme with me about the history of Islamic science. In the early years of Islam and its empire, science progressed only in the Islamic world while Christianity experienced the dark ages. Scientific texts from all over the world, including the ancient civilisations, were gathered in vast libraries and translated into Arabic. You can still find those texts today in ancient libraries in Timbuktu in the heart of north Africa. The only reason we have those surviving texts today is because of the Muslim empire. Of course that description in no way fits the current approaches to science in countries like Saudi Arabia today. And it certainly doesn't fit with the behaviour of Isis who would destroy such documents.
My point is that some of what you write is undoubtedly true of some Muslim cultures in some places in some times. But it doesn't account for all that is Islam. It accounts for one interpretation of Islam. Fight that Islam by all means, but don't assume that it represents all that is Islam and all those who call themselves Muslim.
Sorry, I feel the need to come back again and give myself an identity. It must be hard to debate and discuss with an anonymous entity and it feels rather rude, which I have no intention of being. I have no online presence but I will give myself the name of Emmi. I have written on your blog before when you have posted political comments. I really value your perspective even if I don't share it. I think that it is only by listening to each other that we can come to understand each other and your posting helps me do that. Thank you.
A very well written piece. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see that Islam believes only Islam should be taught all others should be banned. Kill all non believers.

Initially Mohammed advocated tolerance to 'People of the book”. But, that changed to convert or die.
People read the Koran and see tolerance, but do not get to the later written sections.
My principal sources include the aforementioned, Churchill and T.E. Lawrence. The Seven Pillars of Islam can be slow going in places, but worth the effort. Other sources include the unimpeachable historians Bernard Lewis, and Victor Davis Hanson.
Background research will reveal that many, if not most, of the lauded scientific advances were made by Jews under the sponsorship of the Moors. This was especially true in Spain and Portugal. Until they threw the Jews out.
