What Happened?

This is what I know so far.

Google sent me a warning note saying that OBB had been reported for posting copyrighted pictures. Four pictures were listed and they removed them. [I had already deleted a few dozen more that had been identified to me as being copyrighted]

Interestingly, of the four pictures cited, two were from the long distant B&W era and I really really doubt that anyone was claiming them. A third picture was one I took! I think that demonstrates the broad brush methods of the firm DMCA Enforcers, LLC, which represents the alleged copy-right holders. I say alleged, as many of the pictures did NOT have a water mark.

I have had more thoughts about Kelly Payne. DMCA Enforcers  was especially adamant about Kelly wanting us off-the-air. After a few days I recalled that I had posted about her on 10/12.

We have not bought a “pro” spanking video in years. While I have
long admired Kelly Payne’s still photo’s, I had never seen one of her
videos. I recently saw a clip and I was shocked. She was scolding the man in a very loud voice. I understand that is highly desired by some male bottoms, but it’s not where we go.

It was not exactly complimentary, but I have no use for shrill people, male or female. After seeing that clip of her, I would not care to be anywhere around her. It could have been that someone put her on to OBB?

Will the FBI show up here? I don’t know.

We all know of numerous Blogs where the only content is pictures. So DMCA Enforcers is sure as heck not trolling the web looking for violations. I think they earn their money only when someone reports a site.

I have about a dozen posts ready to go, but half of them use what may be a copy-righted picture, so I will not upload those. Bottom line, there may be fewer picture posts at OBB. But, there are hundreds of Tumblr sites for getting your fix.

Seven Things

OBB May Go Poof – II

I think I know why the copyright police are on us. I recently said that Six of the Best had posted here and on MBS of his hatred of Sarah Palin. I am thinking that his response to my post was put the dogs on us. That would be would be what a coward would do.

Asking For It–In Application

This is a spanking Blog, so we should be writing about our spankings. Well, we have and we will, but we have already told you everything. It is real difficult for us to write something new and interesting about our spanking play.

Ken of SpankedByMyLady commented on our post about holey paddles which created a few email exchanges about paddles which in turn resulted in my recalling a 9ply birch plywood I made many years ago. This sucker is round and 3/4” thick. It packs a wallop. I found it in the old toy bag along with several of it’s chums which had not seen daylight in years. I selected four of them for a paddle party and told Bacall to select her toys for a joint session the next day.

When Bacall saw one of the paddles, she cooed and said it was one of her favs – to use on me. Thanks Ken for a great paddling! Bacall used everyone of them on me.

What did Bacall select for herself? Her holey paddle and the Teacher’s paddle. I was pleased to put some color in her bottom with them.

So that’s how we ask for a paddling around here. Not all are spankings are requested, but all are fun and consensual.

I don’t know about you, but my bottom clenches up a bit thinking how Cora might use that paddle. I think I know the drill – bend bare bottom over the stool and hold on tight to the lower rungs and wait for the whoosh and then the burn. Would she allow me to catch my breath before the next lick?

Asking For A Spanking

Asking For A Spanking – In our first married years, we did not ask each other for spankings. I relied on her to read my mind and Bacall used behavior. Neither worked very well for us. I was working full-time and carrying a full class load. I had only a few hours a week of down time and I usually did not use it to focus on her behavior. Her behavior was never bratty, but it was designed to get my attention to jerk her chain a little.  Meanwhile, I was continually disappointed that she did not read my mind and paddle me more often.

Years later, when the kids were gone and life settled down for us, we gradually evolved to asking for what we want, when, where and how we want it. This works for us. Reading other Blogs, I seldom see any mention of this practice. Commonly, I read that some behavior is required for a spanking. Evidently, most people need a reason to spank or to be spanked.

I saw this in the Pink Report. It describes, not us, but some of us.

…. there are those of us who don’t actually like to be spanked. We want the lecture and the forgiveness, not the actual spanking. If we could skip it, we would. But the speech before and the reconciliation after would not feel the same without the submission and the spanking in the middle. We know it wouldn’t be the same without the spanking. Spanking is the taxi we hail to arrive at our destination.

Contrast this need with how Erica Scott likes it; spanking that takes her a blissful place divorced from sex.

We may be spanking enthusiasts, but we are all so different. It seems that the more we say after we say we like spanking, the farther apart we become.

Bacall writes: The most important thing for us is that we both have a good time. We are never disappointed because we get what we want and have no problem asking for it. Perhaps another way to put it is that we are both “only child”  – “I want what I want when I want it and the way I want it”.

Sometimes the paddling is erotic, but sometimes it is just needing to feel the paddle on the bottom. You know what I’m talking about – that pleasant sting that stays with you for a while and brings a smile to your face.

Choosing the implement – MBS recently did a Brunch asking if sound was a factor in a spanking. For most it was not that important. What interested me was that only a few bottoms had any say about what implements would be used.

Bacall continues: It is common for us to ask for certain implements to be used. Sometimes, one of us will suggest a toy and the spankee will counter with the desire for another toy. Since we spank each other to give pleasure, it makes sense to honor the bottoms needs.  Sometimes I will just take my favorite paddle to Bogey and say this is what I need.

Oh, and yes we both like the rifle report sound made when a paddle strikes a bare bottom in a live room. Bacall really likes it when she gets the paddle to report on my bottom. I will hear something like “That was a good one”.

In our new home, the acoustics are very live, especially in the kitchen and den.
